Iguana Removal Services
The huge prehistoric oversized lizards that you see every morning warming up their bodies by sunning themselves along the water’s shoreline are iguanas and they are EVERYWHERE! They’re nonnative and unfortunately, they’re here to stay as there are just too many of them to keep up with.
How do we get rid of them for you? Well, that depends on your individual situation. If you have one that comes to your pool and suns itself, it’s pretty easy, we come out and trap it. It is illegal to poison them and you obviously can’t shoot them with a standard firearm as it is illegal in residential communities. Traps work, but iguanas multiply almost as fast as you can put a trap out so there are times, we have to shoot them with a very special type of pellet gun and yes, it is legal. In fact, it is the only legal way to kill an iguana.
So if you live in South Florida and have an iguana, there’s good news! They don’t actually eat meat – they eat a 100% plant-based diet. Another problem that they cause is that those long necks help them burrow into banks to sleep at night (just like all other animals). The canal systems are overrun and are going crazy because these guys just love laying around or making their home on the walls of the canals; that leaves plenty of damage both inside AND outside our canals’ walls…but luckily, every blue moon, we get extended freezes sometimes here which helps tremendously with getting rid of this pest problem once & for all: almost never does cold weather come along often enough though.
We care about the environment, so we work hard to keep it clean. That’s why animal removal professionals like ourselves can offer maintenance programs for controlling iguanas on various properties!
We have the perfect solution for you if your goal is to get rid of iguanas. We offer two programs. The first option is to remove as many of them in a span of two days as possible. The second option is our maintenance program focused on removing as many as possible during a 4-week period. After the initial 4-week period is over, you will be put on a quarterly plan to remove any iguanas that are present.
The Quarterly schedule is your choice of:
1. A fee per iguana caught over a 2-day period/
2. A flat rate fee that covers the cost of all iguanas that we catch over a 3-day period on your site with unlimited iguanas removed.
Either plan works for us and we will do our best to keep your iguana problem under control.
Feel free to call us any day of the week. We take calls from 8:00 am-11:00 pm at 954-275-1530.
