Technology Coordinator
School of Arts and Humanities
St. Edward's University of Austin, Texas invites applications for the position of part-time TECHNOLOGY COORDINATOR. The Technology Coordinator will work as a member of a highly dedicated team to provide excellence in technical support for our professional teaching facilities. Duties include, but are not limited to, collaborative support and consulting for five departments, student lab assistant training and supervision, documentation, maintenance of our online knowledge base, and consumable inventory management. This part-time position is for 20 hours per week.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Some college coursework, preferably in a related area.
1 year of experience working in an educational environment
1 year of customer support and/or service
1 years of computer support and/or repair
Experience with Mac OS
Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and ICC profiles Must be self-motivated, able to work without supervision, and able to work as a team member Experience with large format inkjet printing Successful completion of an employment and/or criminal history background check required.
Preferred
2 years of experience in education
2 years of customer support and service
2 years of computer support and/or repair
Shows expertise in Mac OS and Windows
Proficient with Adobe Photoshop, and ICC profiles
Experience with supervising and managing part time employees
Essential Responsibilities Include:
Manage and support the Visual Studies Print Lab including
providing comprehensive technical and instructional support for users
completing specially-requested print projects approved by the supervisor
managing consumable supplies, and maintaining printers and scheduling repairs with qualified vendors
Manage and support the checkout equipment for Arts and Humanities
Provide student training, scheduling and supervision for our student lab assistant team
Manage and support the checkout equipment for Arts and Humanities
Under supervision of the Assistant to the Dean of Technology, ensure compliance with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) documentation standards for hazardous chemicals within Visual Studies classrooms.
