Blazer Jobs is partnering with the school district to find a dedicated full-time remote Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the current school year. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals who are passionate about supporting students with visual impairments.

Job Details:

• Position Type : Full-time, remote
• Hours : 30 hours per week
• Caseload : 2nd-grade student, 1:1
• Student Needs : The student requires support with texture exploration and learning braille, as well as experimenting with different textures to enhance learning experiences.

Basic Daily Responsibilities:

• Provide remote instruction and support to the student in learning braille and tactile experiences.
• Adapt materials to meet the needs of the student.
• Collaborate with the school district to ensure appropriate accommodations.
• Monitor progress and make adjustments to the learning plan as needed.
• Communicate regularly with the family and other educational team members to ensure student success.

Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
• Experience working with students who have visual impairments.
• Ability to provide remote instruction and manage virtual learning platforms.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
