Job Description

Bonaventure is seeking a full-time real estate market analyst to join our team. This will support the team by gathering and analyzing property information and market data, helping ensure each transaction is smooth and successful. This position is instrumental in the growth and success of our business, we will provide the tools and support so our acquisitions team can perform at their best. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, combined with strong analytical and quantitative skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis: Processes and inputs financials and market data into various Excel workbooks that support the evaluation and underwriting process of potential deals. Reviews and analyzes related reports and documents to determine that data is accurately maintained.
  • Market analysis: Does preliminary research, including verifying, analyzing, and interpreting basic economic, demographic information, and multifamily rental market trends to identify deals that are located in strong, growing markets.
  • Site and Neighborhood Analysis: Researches market area and attempts to determine what may impact the subject's value.
  • Comparables: Assists in making comparison analysis based on sales of similar properties.
  • Correspondence: Prepares correspondence in response to inquiries or requests for additional information regarding potential projects.
  • Some Travel required.
Requirements
  • No experience necessary, we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Advanced skill in Excel required
  • Financial education preferred but not required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Display strong analytical and quantitative skills, including the ability to gather information, conduct analyses, and present findings
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Comfortable with frequent interactions with internal and external contacts of all levels of authority and responsibility.
  • College degree required
  • Experience in real estate preferred, but not required
  • Team Player; Demonstrates ability to work within cross-functional teams, in a support role.
  • Problem solver: takes initiative, proactively addresses problems; can work with minimal oversight once familiar with job requirements.
  • Ability to analyze information and interpret complex issues in order to determine the root problem and make effective decisions to bring the issue to a successful conclusion.
  • Highly organized and flexible; with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines, often with frequent interruptions and changing circumstances, in a high volume, fast-paced work environment.
