Position Type: Full-Time Schedule of 40 hours a week Monday-Saturday

Position Summary: This position facilitates the Team Lead duties for the Orthopedic Technicians Department. Orthopedic Technician Team Lead will be a direct report to the Orthopedic Technician Supervisor

Desired Education:

•High School Diploma or GED required

•Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred

•Orthopedic Technician Certified

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•All the essential duties and responsibilities as stated in the Orthopedic Technician job description

•Direct and schedule the day-to-day work of assigned staff in the Orthopedic Technician Department

•Monitor and evaluate the work of assigned employees; assisting management in establishing employee performance expectations, monitor and review the quality and quantity of employee work; initiates and implements disciplinary action if necessary

•Orient and train new employees on departmental policies and procedures

•Coaches and encourages staff in a manner that fosters a teamwork approach to resolving disputes; facilitates good working relationships between department personnel, employees, and physicians

•Reviews procedures to ensure that they are being performed in a manner consistent with defined protocols and standards, assists management in the development of departmental policies and procedures pertaining to personnel, supplies, equipment and patient care

•Schedules and coordinates equipment maintenance or repair as needed

•Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications/Experience:

• Ability to multitask in a high-volume clinical environment
• Attentiveness to patients, physicians and medical staff needs
• Two years of experience in medical office
