• Position*: Remote Multispecialty Outpatient Medical Coder
• Work Model*: 6-Month Contract to Hire (Long term & Permanent)
• Location*: East Coast or Central, USA (Remote)
• Pay*: $25-32/HR

*Requirements*:

• *3+ years* of outpatient medical coding experience.
• *Formal ICD-10-CM and CTP training required*
• Recent/Current Multispecialty experience in - *Orthopedics, Neurology, and Primary Care experience is required*
• Experience with EPIC is *required*
• Certification as a *Certified Professional Coder (CPC)*, *Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC)*, or *Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)*.

*Responsibilities*:

• Accurately code hospital outpatient accounts using *ICD-10-CM/PCS* coding systems.
• Deciphers operative reports and other physician medical record documentation to appropriately select codes and maximize charge capture.
• Ensures coding compliance with established standards and guidelines.
• Evaluate documentation issues in consultation with medical and clinical staff.
• Utilize coding references, software tools, and electronic health records to ensure efficient coding practices.
