Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Merchandising Manager. As the Merchandising Manager, you will have a pivotal role in ensuring products in our retail stores are efficiently, effectively displayed, sourced, purchased, and delivered to meet our customers' demands. In this position, you will develop and execute strategies that drive sales and enhance the overall customer shopping experience. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the efforts of a merchandising team of associates, ensuring that products are displayed in an appealing and organized manner. The ideal candidate for this role is detail-oriented, creative, and possesses strong leadership skills. They should have a proven track record of effectively managing merchandising operations and delivering results. This position requires exceptional negotiation skills, an in-depth understanding of market trends, and the ability to build strong relationships with our suppliers.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of merchandising associates, providing guidance, support, and coaching as needed to ensure their success and development
Develop and implement effective visual merchandising strategies, taking into consideration factors such as product assortment, seasonality, and customer preferences
Ensure that all merchandise is displayed in accordance with company standards, including proper signage, pricing, and organization
Monitor and analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in product placement and presentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including store operations and marketing, to execute promotional activities and ensure cohesive visual presentation
Maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to inform merchandising decisions
Conduct regular store visits to assess the effectiveness of merchandising efforts and provide feedback and recommendations to associates
Identify and source the best suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and contracts.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, attending trade shows and industry events to stay informed on market trends and new products.
Collaborate with the inventory management team to ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained while minimizing excess inventory.
Conduct regular analysis of sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to make informed buying decisions.
Manage product assortments, making recommendations to improve profitability and increase customer satisfaction.
Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective promotions and campaigns.
Oversee the purchasing process, ensuring accurate and timely order placement and tracking.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in merchandising, preferably in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of visual merchandising principles and techniques
Proficient in using merchandising software and tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Buyer in the retail industry, with a strong track record of driving sales and profitability.
In-depth knowledge of market trends and the ability to stay updated on industry developments.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in using computer software, including Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Position Details:
Employment type: Full time
Location: 6338 Regio Ave. Buena Park, CA 90620
Travel: 10-15% of the time. During store openings it will be 50% of the time.
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and willingness to travel to various store locations as needed.
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, as needed.
Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Salary:
The pay range for this job is between $65,000 / Yr. - $67,000 / Yr. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include ( but are not limited to ) the responsibilities of the job, your education, skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
