About the Role: The Media Supervisor role merges account service expertise with media strategy, collaborating with Group Account Directors to support key accounts in the MMG portfolio. The Media Supervisor designs extensive digital and traditional paid media strategies to meet client business objectives, including exploring opportunities in emerging channels, establishing success metrics, and ensuring flawless plan execution. This position is based in Chicago, Illinois.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Group Account Director in managing client relationships, including organizing authorizations, timelines, and meeting notes.
  • Attendance at monthly client co-op meetings. Present performance metrics and optimization suggestions to co-op members. Provide administrative support for client co-op including managing presentations, facilitating co-op communication and managing a shared Google drive that houses pertinent account details.
  • Regularly visit franchisee store locations for an inside look at active operations; share observations that could impact advertising strategy.
  • Keep clients informed of project status and address requests promptly to maintain confidence.
  • Ensure compliance with agency processes and promote best practices across teams.
  • Collaborate with the Account Director/Strategist to update monthly budget trackers.
  • Lead client communications and propose projects to enhance performance.
  • Develop and lead media strategies to achieve client business goals, emphasizing each media type across funnel stages.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue by expanding media budgets or services.
  • Utilize MMG’s media resources and research tools (e.g., MRI, Vivvix, Pathmatics).
  • Develop expertise in data analytics to assess media performance and ROI.
  • Support media plan implementation with buying and execution teams.
  • Develop clear, impactful media recommendations by evaluating media options to determine the most effective for reaching the target audiences.
  • Work with cross-agency teams to define scope, recommend measurable plans, budget, and align creative execution with media tactics.
  • Lead presentations, engage in client calls, share POVs, and build strong teams for effective media planning.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of combined experience in account direction, media strategy, and team/client management
  • Proven success with integrated advertising campaigns demonstrating business impact
  • Ability to translate client goals and campaign objectives into a measurement plan
  • Strong understanding of traditional and digital media channels
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on strengthening client relationships and services
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized with strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with media analytics and attribution tools
  • Working knowledge of DoubleClick (DCM) or similar ad servers
  • Experience with data visualization software (Salesforce, Tableau, DOMO)
