Location : Burlington Feeders in Burlington, Colorado

Job Description :

Our team is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our crew in the Yard R&M (Repair and Maintenance) Department. A good candidate for the role would be goal-oriented, motivated, and skilled in vehicle maintenance and repairs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Inspectvehicles/machinery in need of repairs and maintenance
• Adhere by all OSHA safety rules and regulations regarding shop operations and safety
• Perform daily housekeeping duties of the shop and upkeep all feedyard facilities
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to a fast-paced work environment
• Work directly with the Yard R&M manager on maintenance projects and tasks
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements :

• Stand for 8-10 hours a day
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Physical requirements will include standing, walking, lifting, bending, kneeling, shoveling, working equipment, and handling livestock
  • Work Environment: Considerable exposure to weather such as: rain, sleet, snow, hail, heat, cold, wind, dust, and daily close proximity to livestock

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience (preferred)
• Welding experience is a plus
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt
• Team player with the ability to communicate effectively with others
