The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for keeping the brewery, taproom, warehouses, grounds and supporting facilities operating smoothly. This position works collaboratively with the production, distribution, taproom, and maintenance teams and reports directly to the Director of Brewing Operations.
The Ideal Candidate: - Works well in a team environment and has good communication skills.
- Has experience with industrial and/or food manufacturing equipment.
- Has experience with automated mechanical equipment, PLC and HMI equipment.
- Has good trouble shooting skills and is able to repair electrical systems to building, brewing and packaging equipment.
- Is well organized, detail oriented, and has strong follow through with tasks.
- Displays solid time management and discerning prioritization skills.

- Uphold B Corp ethos and general principles in business operations and interpersonal connections
- Understand production systems and machinery thoroughly, diagnose source of failures and make emergency repairs to mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic systems as needed to return systems to service and minimize production downtime.
- Implement preventative maintenance measures.
- Perform electrical repairs as necessary.
- Log actions and findings in an accurate and timely fashion in a CMMS.
- Ensure department maintains a clean and orderly work area. Return tools, equipment, and supplies to the appropriate storage areas after assignments.
- Complete assigned project work, often outside core discipline.
- Help with grounds keeping and snow removal as needed.
- Assist other departments or perform other tasks as needed.
Requirements - A minimum of 5 years' experience in a maintenance type position.
- Good computer skills using Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted.
- This position is located onsite at our Waitsfield, VT headquarters.
- Typical work hours are generally, but not limited to, 8:00am-5:00pm.
- Able to work a flexible schedule and be on call for emergency repairs on weekends.
Benefits This is a full-time, hourly position and starting pay will be commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid time-off, paid holidays, profit sharing, and company medical, dental, vision, and 401k plans among others.
