Interim Controller at SolomonEdwards in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Interim Controller Remote - USA,USA Position Summary A PE backed cosmetics client is seeking a hands-on, remote Interim Controller for a minimum 7-month, remote contract. This position will only require 1-2 site visits per year and has a high likeliness of becoming a permanent opportunity for the right candidate. This role will report to the CFO and require experience with transactional accounting and SAP S/4 HANA. Essential Duties 1. Guide and participate in SAP S/4 HANA implementation - Go live is scheduled for 2/1/24 - No historical data is expected to be imported (company was recently acquired by PE firm) 2. Design, develop, document, and implement policies and procedures - With CFO's assistance and guidance - Not required to be SOX compliant, but should be 'best practice' from internal controls perspective 3. Determine reporting requirements for PE firm (owner) and ensure reporting design form system is adequate - 'Keep it simple' - doesn't have to be as complex as prior parent company (publicly traded) reporting - Currently on a transition services agreement with former owner until 1/31/24 4. Train and supervise internal staff on transaction processing (currently no A&F staff, but CFO wants to build it over time) Currently, this is being handled by various people in the organization. - Estimate of 100 AR Invoices and 150 AP Invoices per month 5. Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations and Income Statement Analysis (at least monthly) 6. Payroll is sourced to a PEO 7. Determine reporting needs for Sales and VAT Tax returns 8. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
