Check out why General Mills Manufacturing is the place to grow a career: General Plant Laborer - Flour Mill Buffalo, NY: As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for supporting production packaging and processing operations, sanitation and participation in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment. Shift hours: ~ Weekly Rotating 8-hour shifts ~8-hour swing shift schedule rotation every week ~1st shift: 6:30 am to 2:30 pm ~2nd shift: 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm ~3rd shift: 10:30 pm to 6:30 am Rotation is 1 week on 1st shift, then 1 week on 2nd shift, then 1 week of 3rd shift Ability and willingness to work any shift, including days, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Pay: ~$22.72 per hour ~ Additional $.34 per hour for hours worked on 2nd shift ~ Additional $.41 per hour for hours worked on 3rd shift Overtime pay Time worked after 8 hours of work is paid at 1.5 times regular rate of pay Time worked on Saturday is paid at 1.5 times regular rate of pay Time worked on Sunday is paid at 2 times (double pay) regular rate of pay Benefits: ~ Great paid time off benefits ~401(k) match, Pension! ~ Health Insurance- Including medical, dental and life ~ And much more!? About our Location: The Buffalo, NY plant is located on the waterfront, providing convenient access to Canada and major cities like Toronto and New York City. Creating high quality foods that are eaten EVERYDAY, NATIONWIDE Using TECHNOLOGY in an industry-leading facility Working with HIGH-LEVEL operators on EXPERIENCED teams that are looking to pass down their knowledge to workers WILLING TO LEARN and get paid doing it CHALLENGING yourself to get the JOB DONE RIGHT and gain skills to take with you to your next opportunity Assist operators during bottlenecks or downtime Troubleshoot problems with machinery and partner with maintenance staff to resolve issues. Calibrate processing and packaging systems daily to meet required specifications Participate in startup, changeover, and shut down of operating equipment. Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance. Assist in training new employees. What you have to offer:?
