Job Description
As the accountable individual in this position, you will ensure the success and well-being of both the foster animals and their foster homes. Your primary role is to oversee the entire rescue process for each animal, from initial intake through their time in foster care until they find their adoptive homes. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with foster homes to inspire their commitment to Ruff Start Rescue’s vision and mission.
You will develop and implement strategies to optimize foster engagement, increase retention, and enhance foster recruitment. Providing continuous support and guidance, you will ensure foster homes have the necessary resources and assistance to care for animals. This includes preparing foster homes for incoming animals and addressing any challenges that arise during the fostering period.
Your role involves ensuring the safety, health, and overall success of the animals under the organization's care. You will be the main point of contact for foster homes, handling daily communications such as phone calls and emails, managing urgent situations involving the animals, and maintaining active engagement through social media platforms like Facebook.

We expect a regular work schedule with defined hours, though occasional flexibility may be needed to meet the role’s demands.
