Job Description

Must be 20 years old to apply. Pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check required.

Salary: $49,000-$55,000 per year depending on education and experience.

Experience Requirements:

Six months' experience working with children and families in a behavioral health or trauma recovery setting. Supervised post-graduate dance therapy or art therapy experience if applicable.

Education Requirements:

Completed Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Music Therapy, Creative Arts Therapy, Dance Therapy, Art Therapy, or Recreation Therapy. .

Licensure/Certification:

Valid driver's license and auto insurance. Credentialed as Board Certified Music Therapist in good standing with the Certification Board for Music Therapists, certified as a Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT) with the American Dance Therapy Association, Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT) will be preferred, Art Therapist - Registered (ATR) or Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATRBC), or certified as a Recreation Therapist through the National Council on Therapeutic Recreation (NCTRC). Valid driver's license and auto insurance are also required.

The Expressive Therapist will implement trauma-informed and therapeutic activities within the creative process of art, dance, or music making, or within recreational activities to enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the children and youth receiving residential services. The Expressive Therapist will collaborate as an active member of the treatment team.
