Job Summary: Middletown Chevrolet is seeking an Experienced General Motors Service Writer to join our team in Middletown, Connecticut. As a full time individual contributor in the auto industry, the Service Writer will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service and coordinating service appointments for GM vehicle owners. Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and assess their service needs
• Schedule and coordinate service appointments for GM vehicles
• Communicate with customers to provide updates on service progress and estimated completion times
• Create and maintain accurate records of service orders, including explanation of services and itemized costs
• Recommend necessary and recommended services to customers based on vehicle maintenance records and manufacturer recommendations
• Communicate with service technicians to ensure timely and efficient service completion
• Up sell additional services and products when appropriate
• Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
• Maintain a clean and organized service department
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety standards, at all times

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a General Motors Dealership Service Writer.
• Experience with Dealer track DMS systems preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair services
• Proficient with computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
