A Hybrid working model Now offices are fully open we have embraced a hybrid working model, which allows our employees to split their time between the office and other locations, something we hope will provide everyone much more flexibility to their working week. The expectation is that working life at Hogarth will involve working from the office for about 50% of the time for most people. What does an Editor do at Hogarth? Hogarth is looking for an exceptional Editor to copyedit, proofread and annotate internal reference and learning material for a prestigious technology client. Based remotely, they will work closely with writers and other creative team members to maintain the highest possible quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong experience within academic or editorial content with a keen eye and exceptional attention to detail, ensuring clarity and accuracy. They should be flexible, adaptable and have a passion for words!
Key responsibilities: - Validating internal content across multiple groups with a focus on consistency with brand tone of voice, personality and cultural relevance
- Edit and proofread editorial, educational and reference material, operations communications, reference guides, and editorial articles.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure clarity and accuracy in communications
- Leverage glossaries and style guides to ensure brand alignment
- Responsible for ensuring product and technical accuracy, as well as linguistic accuracy (grammar and spelling, cultural fit).
- Responsible for providing ongoing guidance and feedback
- A passion for fact checking all content and ensure alignment across multiple documents
- Proactively contribute ideas for process improvement
- Responsible for keeping own product and brand knowledge up to date
Requirements: - A minimum of 7 years' experience in copyediting and/or subediting
- Must be available to work PST hours
- Experience in editing and proofreading learning and training materials, preferably for a creative or consumer brand.
- Must have a passion for words and language. The details matter!
- Must also have a nuanced understanding of language conventions, style and usage specifically Chicago manual of writing style
- Experience working for global brands
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work as a team member.
- Must be able to perform effectively and efficiently under time pressure.
- Solid understanding and grounding in English style, usage, grammar, and punctuation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to focus and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be flexible and able to adapt within an environment of constant change
- Experience working within in a Newspaper publication and/or academic field a huge plus.

At Hogarth California, the base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $55 to $70. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
