Job Title: Dispatcher

Location: McDonough, GA

Overview:

Coordinate and schedule the delivery of goods from the Distribution Center to franchise stores. Maintain communications with all interested parties throughout the delivery process to insure and facilitate the best possible product delivery and service.

Compensation: Market Hourly Pay Rate with bonus potential

Schedule: Tuesday Saturday 7am-3:30pm

1. Maintain complete and accurate driver schedule.
2. Dispatch fleet at distribution center and related hubs ensuring that all routes are staffed appropriately.
3. Track status of vehicles and equipment.
4. Respond to driver calls, assist with breakdowns and accidents.
5. Maintain accurate records on the movement of goods to store locations.
6. Works with supervisors to schedule drivers for next shift.
7. Process PeopleNet trips from driver computers.
8. Ensures compliance with Department of Transportation Hours of Service. Tracks over/under hours for route drivers.
9. Creates various reports (weekly mileage, fuel, late truck, etc.).
10. Create Driver Route Books.
11. Track delivery performance and advise stores and Member Services of any delays.
12. Reviews timecards and PeopleNet for Drivers and Delivery Assistants and notifies supervisor of discrepancies.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required
2. 1 - 3 Years of transportation industry experience
3. Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations is desired
4. Proficient computer knowledge (advanced preferred)
5. Good mathematical skills
6. Problem solving and decision-making ability
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
8. Excellent Interpersonal Skills
9. Team Player
10. Flexible to varying work schedules
