About the Role As a Senior Data Architect Modeler, you will play a critical role in designing, developing and implementing conceptual and physical data models to support our analytics solutions. You will work closely with data architects, analysts and other stakeholders to ensure our data models meet business requirements and enhance our clients' decision-making capabilities.
Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop conceptual, logical and physical data models to support analytics solutions
- Collaborate with data architects, data engineers and business analysts to gather requirements and define data modeling standards
- Implement data modeling best practices to ensure high performance, scalability and maintainability
- Create and maintain data dictionaries, metadata repositories and documentation for data models
- Optimize and refine existing data models to improve data quality and performance
- Conduct data analysis and profiling to ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Work with ETL developers to integrate data models into data pipelines and workflows
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective data models
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in data modeling and analytics
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior data modelers and other team members
This role will be mainly based in Columbus, Ohio.
About You You'll bring extensive data architecture experience gained through a combination of industry and consulting roles. You will be comfortable developing and strengthening peer-to-peer level relationships at all levels with our clients.
Ideally, you will have as much of the following experience as possible:
- Experience in the digital consultancy industry
- Extensive experience in data modeling, with a focus on analytics solutions
- Proficient in data modeling tools such as ER/Studio, ERwin, PowerDesigner or similar
- Strong understanding of database management systems, including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes and data integration
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI or similar
- Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices
- Experience with machine learning and predictive analytics models
