About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to join the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics. The CAO will be a key leader, responsible for the management, strategic planning, and leadership of all administrative activities within the department. This includes fiscal management of departmental budgets, overseeing contracts, gifts, and grants, and managing academic, staff, and student human resources. The role also involves serving as the principal advisor to the Department Chair and faculty on the development and implementation of short- and long-term strategic plans, budgets, and financial performance. The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills, the ability to use initiative and resourcefulness in accomplishing duties, and advanced knowledge of university rules and regulations related to budget, accounting, fund management, and personnel management.
