This is a casual position. Casual employees work on an 'as needed' basis to meet the needs of the business. Work days/hours will often vary from week to week.
Typical Work Schedule: E/O weekend, 3 hours per weekend
The Chaplain will provide spiritual, emotional and psychological support to patients, their families and staff and work to create an environment where spiritual and pastoral approaches are integrated into the plan of care.
Responsibilities: Essential Functions 1. Provides emotional and spiritual care and counsel to patients, their families, visitors, which includes acting as a liaison with the patient's faith community.
2. Provides emotional and spiritual care and counsel to staff.
3. Acts as the patient's advocate regarding patient care decisions.
4. Offers presence and support to multidisciplinary team and is accessible during shifts and on-call.
5. Ensures appropriate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) of any encounters with patients or their visitors. Performs assignment of work hours, holiday coverage, and on-call duty as required.
6. Offers support for end of life needs and bereavement services.
7. Carries out representational ministry by maintaining an active relationship with own denomination and by remaining in good standing and reporting appropriately.

Job Description: Job Requirements Education - Bachelor's degree required (e.g., Bachelor's of Art, Bachelor's of Science, Bachelor's of Science in Nursing, Bachelor's of Social Work). Denominational endorsement or commission to function in a ministry or pastoral care by an appropriate religious authority required.
- Graduate of an accredited seminary or equivalent education preferred. (Master of Divination)
- Two quarters of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) preferred.
Experience - Minimum of 1-3 years of pastoral ministry experience required.
License/Certifications - Board Certification with an accredited professional chaplaincy organization preferred.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities - Skilled in problem-solving, conflict management, and quality improvement.
