Under the administrative direction of the Director of Individual and Pass Through Entity (IPTE) Audit Bureau, the incumbent is responsible for identifying, developing, and recommending policy for the IPTE Audit Programs. Incumbent will act as the division expert in the IPTE Audit Programs and key policy advisor and technical resource to the Chief, Audit Division, all internal customers, including Audit, Legal, Senior Management, and tax practitioners representing the largest individual and pass through entities in the nation. The incumbent represents the department on various committees with external interest including the Internal Revenue Service, Federation of Tax Administrators, other states’ taxing authorities, and any other taxing organizations. In addition, the incumbent will represent the Franchise Tax Board (FTB) at national and international tax policy conferences and in the exchange of information, ideas, strategies, and tax policies with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and any other countries and states’ agencies or organizations.
