Job Description Summary:

Southeastern University is currently seeking qualified candidates to be cleared and added to our Bachelorof Social Work and Master of Social Work adjunct availability pool. Qualified applicants, transcripts, anddocuments will be reviewed and processed in preparation for upcoming terms. Select adjuncts from thepool are contracted term-by-term based on course/section needs and availability. It is preferred thatadjuncts teach at least two courses each academic year. Southeastern University reserves the right to notschedule and/or cancel courses based on enrollment.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Masters of Social Work degree with three or more years post-graduate experience. LCSW and/or Doctorate preferred.

Major Responsibilities:

• Teach assigned courses as contracted.
• Provide all necessary information and teach materials as outlined in the syllabus.
• Communicate regularly with the BSW or MSW Program Director regarding program updates and/or student-related concerns.
• Meet for all scheduled class meetings for the assigned term.
• Be available to students before and after class for individual consultation.
• Abide by and uphold university core values and mission.
• Maintain appropriate ethical conduct as outlined by the NASW Code of Ethics.
• Submit final grades within one week of the end of term.

• Complete the Employment Application
• Include a cover page
• Include an updated resume or curriculum vitae
• Include a 500 word or less teaching philosophy narrative
• Include unofficial transcripts for master and doctoral degrees for pre-screening purposes. Official transcripts will be required upon acceptance of offer for employment for credentialing purposes.
